New Patient FAQ: What to Expect at Your First Visit in South Surrey

Common questions from new patients in South Surrey and White Rock — insurance, first-visit timing, kids, anxiety, and what we actually do on day one.

New to the clinic? These are the questions we get most often from new patients booking their first appointment.

How long is a first visit?

Plan on about 60–90 minutes. That covers a full exam, X-rays if needed, a cleaning in most cases, and time to talk about anything you want addressed. More in our new patient information.

Do you take my insurance?

We direct-bill most major Canadian insurance providers. Bring your card or policy details to your first visit and we'll handle the paperwork at the front desk.

Can my whole family come on the same day?

Yes — many families book back-to-back appointments. We're a full-service family dentistry practice, so kids, teens, and adults all see us in one clinic.

I'm anxious about the dentist. What are my options?

Tell us before the appointment. We'll pace things slowly, explain each step, and if needed we can discuss sedation. Our sedation dentistry guide covers the options.

What if I haven't been to a dentist in years?

That's more common than you think, and nobody will lecture you. We start with a gentle exam, map out what's needed, and prioritize together — no pressure to do it all at once.

Do you do emergencies for new patients?

Call 604-535-8835 and we'll do our best to see you the same day.
