Dental lasers use focused light energy to treat soft tissue with far less pressure, heat, and vibration than traditional tools. For a lot of gum work, that means a calmer visit and a quicker recovery.

Why patients notice the difference
Less freezing. Many soft-tissue laser procedures need little or no anesthetic because the laser is precise enough to work without triggering the same nerve response as a scalpel.
Less bleeding. The laser seals small blood vessels as it works, so the treated area stays clean and easy to see.
Faster healing. Because the surrounding tissue isn't cut or pulled, most people are back to normal eating and brushing within a day or two.
Fewer stitches. In many cases, none are needed at all.
Is laser dentistry right for everyone?
Lasers are a great fit for a lot of soft-tissue work, but not every procedure. Deep bone surgery, extractions, and structural work still call for traditional tools — often alongside a laser to help with the soft-tissue portion.
